Job Title: Principal Engineer – Offshore Renewable Energy
Location: UK (Must be already in the UK with a right to work to be considered for this role).
Position Overview:
Our client, a prominent player in the offshore energy sector, is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their renewable energy team on a permanent basis. This role involves overseeing the development of assets, studies, supporting tenders, and executing projects within the dynamic offshore sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute engineering tasks in line with company procedures, ensuring accuracy and safety.
Deliver commercially viable and technically sound solutions that meet client and company expectations.
Lead project teams in offshore operations and contribute as a key member.
Oversee planning and management of subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
Provide clients with necessary documentation and updates, meeting set deadlines.
Continuously improve processes and enhance project documentation.
Work closely with HSEQS teams to meet project-specific health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Guide and mentor Project Engineers, leveraging extensive experience and knowledge.
Manage teams to achieve project scopes, ensuring successful operational deliverables.
Ensure subcontracted services are compliant and aligned with project requirements.
Maintain awareness of contract and commercial implications related to engineering activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related science discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in industry-related roles, with significant exposure to offshore wind operations.
Experience with subsea structures..
Familiarity with ROV, marine.
