HR & Payroll Coordinator – Oil & Gas Sector | Kurdistan, Erbil
Our client, a leading Oil & Gas operator, is seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Coordinator to oversee and manage end-to-end payroll operations across a diverse workforce. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and corporate governance, while providing efficient and employee-focused payroll services.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all staff, including monthly, rotational, and field-based employees.
Maintain employee master data in HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
Reconcile payroll data with timekeeping systems, contracts, and HR inputs; address and correct any discrepancies.
Manage statutory deductions, social security contributions, and tax reporting in line with local legal requirements.
Provide employee support on salary queries, deductions, tax issues, and benefits administration.
Generate payroll reports, including payroll cost summaries, leave balances, and financial analysis as required by HR or Finance.
Administer benefits programs, including insurance, allowances, and site-related entitlements.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to coordinate final settlements, transfers, and annual compensation reviews.
Maintain digital and physical personnel files in compliance with data protection and retention policies.
Liaise with external vendors, tax authorities, and government bodies on payroll matters and compliance filings.
Contribute to broader HR initiatives including employee engagement surveys, workforce analytics, and salary benchmarking.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources.
Minimum 5 years’ payroll experience, with a preference for candidates from the oil & gas or energy sector.
Proficient in local labor law, payroll tax, and statutory compliance.
Strong working knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
