Job Opportunity: Lead – IT Services Procurement (Oil & Gas) | UAE
Our client, a leading Oil & Gas operator in the UAE, is seeking an experienced Lead – IT Services Procurement professional to oversee strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations for all IT-related services and projects. This is a pivotal role responsible for enabling high-value technology solutions while ensuring procurement compliance, cost optimization, and service delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for IT services (applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.).
Manage sourcing strategies and RFP processes aligned to enterprise IT and digital transformation goals.
Develop and negotiate high-value contracts, MSAs, and SLAs with global IT vendors and service providers.
Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
Analyze vendor performance, risks, and spend data to identify opportunities for improvement and consolidation.
Drive innovation and value creation through strategic vendor relationships and contract optimization.
Lead contract renewals, change orders, dispute resolution, and performance reviews.
Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and audit readiness across procurement processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or CIPS certification preferred).
10+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years specifically focused on IT services within oil & gas, energy, or large industrial environments.
Proven track record in contract negotiation, vendor management, and driving IT procurement strategies.
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services (AWS, Azure), managed services, cybersecurity, and licensing frameworks.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
Strong interpersonal, commercial, and stakeholder engagement skills.
UAE experience highly preferred; GCC exposure is a strong plus.
