Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Offshore Brownfield Project Manager with Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Discipline Expertise to oversee the safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of safety-critical brownfield projects across multiple offshore platforms, including production complexes and remote wellhead towers.
This is a senior leadership role focused on execution delivery across both construction and commissioning scopes, ensuring schedule adherence, safety compliance, resource coordination, and stakeholder alignment under an EPCM contracting model.
Key Objectives
Lead the safe execution and delivery of brownfield modification projects across multiple offshore assets.
Oversee construction and commissioning scopes across complex facilities including barge mobilization, logistics, materials, and workboats.
Provide strong leadership in cost control, risk management, schedule adherence, and stakeholder engagement.
Serve as single-point accountability for I&C engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with engineering codes, standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
Manage all aspects of offshore brownfield construction and commissioning activities.
Deliver assigned scopes across one or more platforms and wellhead towers with a focus on safety, schedule, cost, and quality.
Ensure execution teams meet all HSE, technical, and performance expectations.
I&C Engineering Leadership
Define overall plant controls architecture and manage all related engineering deliverables.
Coordinate the I&C team, including work planning, manpower forecasting, and schedule control.
Monitor and report on progress, productivity, and performance metrics in line with contract and budget requirements.
Provide technical resolution for engineering queries (EQs), vendor liaison, and document reviews.
Resource Management & Collaboration
Lead a multi-disciplinary team, mentor junior engineers, and ensure team competency through regular assessments.
Engage with third-party vendors, OEMs, licensors, and subcontractors to meet project objectives.
Prepare scopes of work, technical evaluations, and tender assessments for subcontract packages.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure robust Management of Change (MoC) adherence across all technical and financial aspects.
Conduct and participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, FATs, and safety studies.
Oversee document control, risk registers, and internal/external progress reporting.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
Minimum 15+ years of experience in upstream facilities engineering, including 10+ years supporting production operations in brownfield offshore environments.
Previous experience in EPCM contracting models and offshore execution roles is essential.
