Job Title: Senior Construction Project Manager – Brownfield EPC Projects
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager for a high-impact assignment, representing a leading global client in overseeing brownfield EPC projects within the oil and gas sector. This role requires strategic leadership to ensure seamless execution of FEED/EPC scopes, emphasizing safety, cost efficiency, and compliance with client standards. Ideal for seasoned professionals with a proven track record in brownfield upgrades and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Client-Side Leadership: Act as the primary client representative, supervising EPC contractors through construction, commissioning, and handover phases to ensure compliance with client policies, industry standards, timelines, and budgets.
Constructability & Design Oversight: Review engineering designs, provide constructability input, and optimize methodologies to minimize risks and enhance cost efficiency. Lead constructability readiness reviews and align deliverables with project schedules.
Risk & Cost Management: Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement value engineering to control expenses. Monitor contractor performance, address delays, and enforce corrective actions.
Contractor Coordination: Oversee fabrication, construction, and subcontractor activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and HSE initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Interface with client operations, procurement, and project controls teams to align material deliveries, work orders, and commissioning plans.
Change Management: Manage scope changes effectively, minimizing disruptions while maintaining compliance with client change control processes.
Mentorship: Guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence, safety awareness, and innovation across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
Experience:
15+ years in oil & gas construction, managing brownfield EPC projects.
PMC experience preferred, with a focus on production facility upgrades and modifications.
Proficiency in constructability reviews, cost estimation, and EPC contract management.
Familiarity with industry HSE protocols, regulatory requirements, and pre-commissioning activities.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
