Our client are a leading innovator in electric vehicle (EV) charging and grid decarbonization, seeking a skilled team member to join the mission. They offer cutting-edge SaaS products that empower utilities to seamlessly manage EV charging infrastructure. In this role, you'll be a key player in shaping the future of sustainable transportation.
About the role and what you'll do:
Craft and implement powerful features and improvements for our core data systems, including integrations with car and charger manufacturer APIs.
Utilize our established Python backend, relational databases, and microservice architecture to build reliable and scalable solutions.
Lead the charge on increasingly complex projects, potentially guiding and coordinating the work of other engineers as you grow.
Collaborate closely with engineers and product experts to expand product capabilities, optimize performance, and ensure data quality.
Partner with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to co-develop seamless data exchange through integrations and APIs.
Write robust tests to guarantee code integrity and functionality.
Manage deployments and instrumentation for optimal performance within our cloud environment (think: hands-on with AWS!).
Champion continuous learning within the team by actively participating in code and design reviews.
Leverage your expertise with Containers, Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub, project management tools like Jira/Confluence, and CircleCI to build robust systems.
Be ready to contribute to special projects and additional tasks as assigned by your manager.

Possess a strong interest in cloud-based backend systems, real-world device interaction, and data quality management (experience a major plus!).
Solid experience with Python or Go is essential.
You enjoy the entire software development lifecycle, from design and testing to deployment, iteration, and ongoing performance monitoring.
Comfortable working within a microservice architecture and possess experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
Believe in Agile development and DevOps practices.
Have prior experience working in smaller teams or startups, willing to share your expertise to contribute to collective success.
